The Friends were formed several years ago to further the interests of the Parish of South Hinksey. After a few fallow years the society was reconstituted in 2003 to pursue the idea of a Parish Plan. The Plan was published in February 2005 and is now being implemented.

At the 2008 AGM the last committee resigned but the society was not wound up as it was felt that there could well be a need for it in the future. It is therefore, for the present, dormant.

All residents of the Parish are members of the Friends. There is no formal membership and no charge.
